IT Support & Systems Specialist | Digea

Digea, the digital terrestrial television provider in Greece, located in Marousi, is seeking to recruit an IT Support & Systems Specialist for a permanent collaboration.

Role Overview:

As a key member of our IT team, you will balance end-user support with the administration of our server infrastructure. You will work alongside our existing support team to ensure seamless operations while taking on a more specialized role in managing Windows/Linux servers and backup recovery systems (Veeam).

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure & Systems: Participate in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows & Linux Servers and Hyper-V virtualization environments.
• Data Protection: Manage and monitor backup procedures using Veeam Backup & Replication, ensuring data integrity, performing restore tests, and troubleshooting jobs.
• System Administration: Perform administrative tasks on Active Directory (users, groups, GPOs) and manage domain services (DNS, DHCP, Print services).
• Monitoring & Security: Monitor network health (LAN/WAN), servers, and services to protect against threats and ensure maximum uptime.
• Documentation: Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for processes, hardware assets, and network configurations.
• User Support (L1/L2): Collaborate with the support team to provide high-quality local or remote assistance, managing hardware/software setups and M365 issues.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized university or higher education institution (ΑΕΙ/ΑΤΕΙ).
• Strict requirement: 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Roles, Features).
• Basic knowledge of Linux administration (command-line proficiency, service management).
• Familiarity with backup solutions, specifically Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, Firewalls).
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a strong desire to take on new technical challenges.

Desired (Plus):

• Experience with Dell server and storage systems.
• Familiarity with network and security devices (switches, firewalls, etc.).
• SQL knowledge (basic scripting/administration) for data checking.
