Job Description:
Installation engineer is required to perform Remote Monitoring System installations on client’s vessels and his/her job typically includes, assessing feasibility, determining whether existing equipment, components, and tools require modifications, preparing the equipment and making sure successful installations are completed within specified strict time limits. He or she will be in charge of preparing and handling all the produced documentation after the installation acting as a liaison between the engineers and the clients.
Requirements:
Bachelor or Technological Institute Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or equivalent field.
Demonstrable experience (minimum of 3 years) supporting electromechanical equipment onboard.
Competencies sought including:
– Sound understanding of electrical engineering principals.
– Sound understanding of controls & instrumentation (including pneumatics).
– Good understanding of essential H&S Management.
– Good ability to read and interpret vessel blueprints
Fluent in English (speaking and writing), able to produce and deliver detailed installation technical manuals and reports
Flexible to be travelling to worldwide

Desired Skills:
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to interact well with many people from different background on strict project based limits
Background or previous experience in Installation Department or Industrial Automation positions is highly preferable
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment driving consensus between multiple internal and external customer demands in a matrixed organization
