Vessel ICT Engineer

As a member of the team, you will: – Inspect and maintain all ICT systems and equipment onboard the vessel, including satellite communication systems, computer networks, routers, switches, servers, and various software applications. – Respond promptly to technical issues and breakdowns, and diagnose and resolve software and hardware problems to minimize disruptions to operations. – Serve as the main point of contact for crew members, providing guidance, training, and drafting comprehensive and detailed manuals. – Attend vessels to upgrade ICT systems onboard and ensure that the crew is knowledgeable about proper usage and handling. Maintain records of system performance, maintenance, and upgrades. – Contribute to the design and implementation of the vessel’s ICT infrastructure. – Implement technical solutions following cyber security procedures and propose improvements as needed. Contribute to risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
